Iris 437

Iris is an orbital-class robot made from rare metal parts, which makes her one-of-a-kind amongst her siblings. The stainless fitting used for her body is quite a bit heavier than you’d expect, which gives her a very pleasant bell-like voice which sings when you ask her to dance.

Here’s a video of Iris doing her thirty-second rotation, followed by her lovely chime.

Lots of bronze was added to help Iris reach her final form and give some warm color to her overall look. She’s also the first orbital class robot to have internal limiters in her head so she can’t twist her head all the way around, giving her neck the same range as her human companions – just one of many small wonders on this little darling of a robot.
