Made-to-Order Made Easy
Commissioning a custom work of art can be intimidating, especially for those who aren’t avid art collectors. I have worked with many folks who have never owned art before to help them take the leap, making their first piece a very personal and memorable one. Some are looking to give a gift for an important person in their life who is celebrating a big milestone – such as a birthday or anniversary with a zero in it, or other significant event such as opening a business, or getting their degree. Being a part of these connections is one of the most gratifying roles an artist can participate in. Commissioned pieces are exciting for me because the work has an intended purpose, and often the people who commission the piece have ideas of their own that lead me into new and exciting territory. See the examples below for real-world reference.
Quotes from folks who have ‘gone custom’:

“I think the word ‘amazing’ is so overused these days, but that is how I feel. And not only did you capture the idea, it is so well executed.”

- I get in touch with you via email or phone to go over the details.
- Once we have a plan you are happy with, you submit your 50% deposit to reserve your place in queue.
- I send photos as I create your robot, or upon completion, depending on your preference.
- Once the robot is completed, we settle up the other 50%, plus shipping.
- Your robot is shipped to its new foreverhome, complete with their singed robot adoption certificate. If the robot is being given as a gift, a printed personal note with words of your choosing is included in the envelope with the certificate.
Skunkadelic Boilerplate Included
Each robot has a copper boilerplate on its back that has their unique name and serial number. The serial number includes the robots birth date (YYMMDD), the class of robot’s first letter, and the number in the robot Series. For Example, an Ion-class robot who was born on December 29th, 2020 and is the 396th robot ever made would have the serial number 201229i396.
