made-to-order

Commissioning a custom work of art can be intimidating, especially for those who aren’t avid art collectors. I have worked with many folks who have never owned art before to help them take the leap, making their first piece a very personal and memorable one. Some are looking to give a gift for an important person in their life who is celebrating a big milestone – such as a birthday or anniversary with a zero in it, or other significant event such as opening a business, or getting their degree. Being a part of these connections is one of the most gratifying roles an artist can participate in. Commissioned pieces are exciting for me because the work has an intended purpose, and often the people who commission the piece have ideas of their own that lead me into new and exciting territory. See the examples below for real-world reference.
